Cats may be small, but they have some big purrsonalities! Our feline friends keep us laughing with their adorable habits. Our feline friends certainly do seem to live by their own rules. In fact, Fluffy may very well be following a secret kitty code of honor! Read on as a North Phoenix, AZ vet lists Fluffy’s golden rules.

Get Plenty of Sleep

It’s probably no surprise what Fluffy’s number one rule is: get plenty of sleep. Cats sleep, on average, about 14-16 hours a day, but some of our feline pals sleep as much as 20 hours a day. We’re not entirely convinced that Fluffy needs that much rest, but who knows? Maybe looking cute is really hard work!

Always Look Your Best

Kitties always want to put their best paws forward. Your furball may spend several hours a day carefully grooming herself, making sure her coat looks soft and pretty.

Supervise Your Humans

One of Fluffy’s most important tasks is simply to keep close watch on her people. Your kitty may very well follow you around from room to room, just to keep an eye on you. Some cats even follow their owners into the bathroom!

Keep Your Reflexes Fit

Cats must be ready to pounce at any time. Fluffy will need to keep her kitty reflexes fit, so she will be ready in case a mouse invades your home. Cat toys are great for this, but your furball may also practice her ferocious hunting skills on a bottlecap, the ring from a milk gallon jug, or a dust bunny!

Speak Your Mind

It’s always very cute when Fluffy decides she has something to say. While cats often speak to let us know they are ready for dinner, sometimes they meow just for attention or just to say hello. There are also some very outspoken, chatty kitties out there, who will speak up about anything and everything!

Get Plenty Of Sun

Have you ever found your kitty sleeping in a sunbeam? Chances are, the answer to that question is yes. Cats certainly do love sunbathing. One might almost suspect they run on solar power!

If there’s one thing kitties are good at, it’s snuggling up with their favorite people. Cat purrs are truly special!
